Active forms are primarily used for collecting e-mail addresses.
You can place an active form on your website as animated or fixed. It mostly depends on the occasion you want to use it for. You can use an animated, that is a "pop-up" form, when you want to collect contacts for sending news, a newsletter and similar. A fixed active form, on the other hand, is useful for leaving an e-mail address to sign up for a seminar, for example.
How to proceed when creating it
In the upper menu, in the Active forms section, choose "Create new form".
On the "Settings" page pay attention to a few fields.
General settings
The first is the general settings section, with the name of the form in it. This name is for your internal records. The next setting on this page is the language selection. In the "language" field you can choose the language the "Powered by" text in the form footer is displayed in.
Using the "Show the form to users" field you can also invite other users into this form. They will then see this form in the active form overview in their account after logging in to Quanda.
The "Admin" role sees all created forms in their account after logging in to Quanda, regardless of who the form manager is. The manager can be changed on this page as well.
The "Project manager" role sees all forms they created in the active form overview in their account after logging in to Quanda, and also all forms they were invited to.
The "Consultant" role only sees the forms they were invited to in the active form overview in their account after logging in to Quanda. If the "Consultant" role creates a new active form, they have to invite themselves into that form. If they do not do this, they lose the rights to the form they are currently creating once the "Settings" page is saved and will not be able to continue preparing it.
Form settings
In the Form settings section you can set the following:
- the width of the form in pixels, the default is 400. The width of the form has to be between 150 and 850 px,
- the option: Show "Powered by" in the form footer,
- the option: Prevent multiple submissions on a PC.
Setting the action after the form is submitted
In the second to last section, the action after the form is submitted, you choose what should happen once the person submits the filled in form. You can choose "Stay on the page after the form is submitted", where the filled in form is processed and an empty form remains, "Show a web page after the form is submitted" and "After the form is submitted, show a text (thank you for filling it in) and a button in its place". Here you can write your own thank you text, name the button and set the web page to redirect to.
Form header settings
Finally you can insert code to be placed in the form header. With this setting you change the header of the form. A wrong setting can break the whole form. This setting is mainly used for adding the Facebook pixel or other tracking codes into the form header. If you are not sure how exactly to add tracking codes, contact our support at support@onquanda.com.
If you have everything set up the way you need, continue by clicking the blue "Save and form" button.
