Recipients for this type of e-mail campaign are picked with contact tags.
Unlike an e-mail series, the tags only mark the group of contacts whose birthday or name day date will be checked every day, depending on the chosen campaign type.
Recipients are therefore picked gradually, according to the chosen contact tag, every day based on today's date matching the date stored with the contacts. For the "Birthday wishes" e-mail campaign, the date stored in the "Date of birth" field is checked every day, and for the "Name day wishes" e-mail campaign, the date stored in the "Name day or anniversary" field is checked every day.
Choose one or more tags. By assigning and removing tags on contacts you can add groups of contacts the wishes should be sent to into these campaigns or remove them, even when the campaigns have been running for some time.
You can therefore set the groups of contacts included in these campaigns manually, by import, or through automations in e-mail campaigns, in forms or in surveys.
This way you can add contacts into the groups the wishes should be sent to based on a click in an e-mail campaign, on a form submission or on a particular answer to a particular question in a survey, for example.
Contacts that have unsubscribed are always excluded from the mailing automatically.
